This test stand is quite an impressive machine with its multiple hydraulic systems, X-Y slides, control circuitry along with its shear size. Hoses are mounted to two manifolds in an enclosed test area. One manifold is stationary while the other is attached to the X-Y positioning system which allows the hose to flex. Up to four hoses can be connected at one time and each manifold has the option to mount the hoses on different planes to change the bending angles.
Both the x and y axis slides are powered hydraulically. Slides are lubricated with a power lubing system. The hydraulic pulses enter the stationary manifold from the pressure booster. The booster increases the hydraulic pressure from the main hydraulic pump to provide the powerful test pulses. Pulse strength, duration and flex commands all come from the user interface system and PLC. Oil temperature is also kept constant with aid of heaters and heat exchangers.
